Grow In Grow Out: Poems

Egg Moment - a time when a trans or nonbinary person begins to suspect or feel they should have suspected their true gender identity.  

Through their egg moments, Luke W. Henderson explores childhood,  masculinity, and the emotional toll of gender dysphoria through everything from sports and film, to deeper wells where our relationship with romance and our own treacherous bodies come into question.   

Through familiar imagery and lyrical wit, these dozen poems place us in the driver’s seat where we can digest the pain and euphoria that emerge when the cracks spread across the shell and one’s truest self finally hatches.
